I am a self taught artist and have done many types of art throughout my life. I started sculpting with Polymer clay in March of 2003. I had never sculpted before, and found it to be a perfect fit. I looked at it as being able to draw in 3-D. I loved it.
Before polymer clay I did pencil drawings; portraits of animals and people. I still love doing it. I have also done crochetting and knitting, but mainly as gift giving. I am a disabled person, so I am home most of the time, and love to watch my little creations take shape and come to life. It is relaxing and very fun for me. I thank my Daughter who, without giving me her encouragement, I could not have done this. I am now doing Needle felting. I enjoy it very much. I have always loved fibers of all kinds.

This means that when I do a sculpture that I start with a lump of clay and a wire armature. Putting the clay on and making the piece by hand. This is how I make them and always will. I sometimes use glass eyes but most of the time I sculpt and hand paint the eyes in as I am making the Art Doll. That is not to be confused with Toy Doll. These are fine Pieces of Art to be displayed and not played with. I try to give my fairys all the details that I can. Finger nails are sculpted seperatly and placed on. These Art pieces will last a life time If properly cared for. Keep out of sun and dust regularly.
